The Legal Issues Of WikiLeaks

I may not be a lawyer, but it seems to me that there are some rather murky ethical violations going on with both sides of this case.  While, I’m one that’s all for full disclosure, I wouldn’t want it at the expense of the life of an innocent party.  This case I think will be one of the more interesting ones to watch as it plays out.  Stay tuned.  And what was all that about those charges related to sexual misconduct on the part of Julian Assange?  They were making it seem like he need a good UK divorce solicitor with all the charges.  It seems pretty coincidental that they would come out so close in timing to WikiLeaks big release of recent whistle blowing news.

Well I must say, I can’t personally side with the idea of disclosing as much information as they did, I do believe there is a place for this kind of website on the internet.  At the very least, it should be making politicians and other captains of industry think twice about some of the decisions they make.  While I do agree that at times there is a need for secrecy, quite often that excuse is used to cover up inappropriate actions by those who should be in a position of trust.
